Golden Knights defeat Blues in OT, set record

LAS VEGAS -- William Karlsson knew the Vegas Golden Knights didn't have many chances to make plays in the offensive zone Saturday.

When he got his chance late in overtime, he made sure he didn't miss.

Karlsson scored his first goal of the season with 23.8 seconds left for a 3-2 win against the St. Louis Blues at T-Mobile Arena.

Golden Knights score seven against Avalanche, win fifth in row.

LAS VEGAS -- Seven Vegas Golden Knights scored, and Oscar Dansk made 32 saves for their first shutout, in a 7-0 win against the Colorado Avalanche at T-Mobile Arena on Friday.

Vegas (8-1-0) has won five in a row to continue the best start by an NHL expansion team.

Golden Knights lose first game when Red Wings rally in third

LAS VEGAS -- The Vegas Golden Knights lost their first game, 6-3 to the Detroit Red Wings at T-Mobile Arena on Friday.

Vegas (3-1-0), the first NHL expansion team to win its first three games, allowed four consecutive third-period goals.

Golden Knights top Blackhawks for fourth straight win

LAS VEGAS -- Oscar Dansk made 29 saves in his first NHL start to help the Vegas Golden Knights to their fourth win in a row, 4-2 against the Chicago Blackhawks at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.

Dansk got the start because goalies Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Malcolm Subban (lower body) are injured.

 

 

Golden Knights make history with win against Coyotes

LAS VEGAS -- Vegas Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant kept the pregame pep talk to a minimum.

Once the emotional ceremony prior to their inaugural home opener ended, it was on to hockey, and Vegas came out on fire.

The Golden Knights scored four goals in the opening 10:42 and defeated the Arizona Coyotes 5-2 at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday, becoming the first NHL expansion team to start 3-0-0.

Avalanche Vs Golden Knights

Defensemen Colin Miller and Shea Theodore scored the only goals for the Vegas Golden Knights, but the inability to score with a man advantage cost them in a 4-2 preseason loss to the Colorado Avalanche at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday night.

In his first start in front of the Vegas crowd, Marc-Andre Fleury recorded only 18 saves and allowed all four goals on even strength. Theodore’s goal with 8:48 remaining in the third period cut the Colorado lead to 3-2, but Tyson Jost’s tap-in off a rebound with just over three minutes remaining was the dagger.

Golden Knights lose to Kings in overtime in first home game

The Vegas Golden Knights lost their first home game when Brooks Laich scored 12 seconds into overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a 3-2 win at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday. 

Kings forward Alex Iafallo stole the puck from defenseman Nate Schmidt behind the net and passed in front to Laich

Cody Eakin scored the first home goal in Golden Knights history to give Vegas a 1-0 lead at 3:44 of the first period. Nic Dowd tied it 1-1 at 11:54.

Kurtis MacDermid gave the Kings a 2-1 lead 8:56 into the second period before William Carrier tied it 2-2 at 3:50 of the third.

Jack Campbell made 27 saves for the Kings, and Pickard had 24.
